I am a member of the GfÖ (Ecological Society of Germany, Austria and Switzerland), ESA (Ecological Society of America), DHV (Deutscher Hochschulverband), Wissenschaftliche Gesellschaft Freiburg and Entomologischer Verein Stuttgart (where I contribute to the AK Wildbienenkataster). I am a member of GfÖ specialist groups AK Computational Ecology and the YoMos (young modelers in ecology), a network of young scientists interested in ecological modeling, with whom I have organized several workshops.
